At the inaugural meeting of the “Peace Delegation” in Washington, Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Albania committed to deploying forces to form the newly established “International Stabilization Force” (ISF) in Gaza. This announcement was made in the presence of representatives from nearly 50 countries.

General Jasper Jeffers, appointed commander of the force by the United States military, stated that Indonesia has accepted the position of deputy command. He expressed hope that these efforts would help provide the necessary security in Gaza.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the country’s mission is purely humanitarian in nature, focusing on protecting civilians, medical and humanitarian aid, reconstruction, and training Palestinian police. Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia’s president who attended the meeting, declared that the country is prepared to contribute up to eight thousand personnel within this framework.

Kazakhstan, led by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has also pledged to send troops, including medical units. Morocco, through its Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, announced it will send police officers, and Albania made a similar commitment.

Additionally, Egypt and Jordan announced cooperation in training police forces. According to reports, among the participating countries, 27 are official members of the Peace Delegation, while other participants, including the European Union, attended as observers.

The opening session began with a speech by Donald Trump, President of the United States. He said that nine members of this delegation have collectively pledged seven billion dollars for humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip, which has been damaged by war.
